John A. Gulywasz, 84, of Clifton passed away on May 24, 2014. Born in Passaic, John moved to Clifton in 1953. An Army Veteran, John was an Inspector for Continental Can for over 30 years. Beloved husband of 60 years of Evelyn (Polanski). Devoted father of Paul Gulywasz and his wife Melody, and Linda Scholts and her husband Kenneth. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Eric and Gracie. Loving brother-in-law of John "Chippy" Cherevko and Betty Gulywasz. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his brother Michael Gulywasz and his wife Jean, his brother George Gulywasz and his wife Helen, his sister Anna Cherevko, his brother Edward Gulywasz, and his brother-in-law Ted Polanski. Funeral Service Wednesday 11:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013. Interment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Tuesday 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
