John Glodava, 83, of Clifton, passed away on February 15, 2018. Born in Lapsze Nizne, Slovakia, he came to the US in 1967 and lived in Passaic, Clifton and
Mountain Top, PA, before returning to Clifton several years ago.
An active parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton, John was a Machinist and Engraver for Passaic Engraving, Passaic, for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. John cherished his family, he was a faithful member of his church, where he served as an usher for many years. John enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener.
Beloved husband for 58 years of Maria (Timek). Devoted father of Janina Kuhl and her husband Richard of Bryn Mawr, PA, Krystyna Baca and her late husband Alfred of Bridgewater, Mary Zelencic and her husband Michael of Emerson, Theresa Buschbacher and her husband Walter of Emerson, and John Glodava and his wife Lesia of Clifton. Loving grandfather of Jeremy, Matthew, Rachel, Blake, Alexandra, Kevin, Steven, Gary, Eric, Bryan, Jason, Nicholas and Mark.
Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
