John B. Gallagher, 90, of Clifton, passed away on April 26, 2012. Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, he lived in Newark before moving to Clifton 58 years ago. An Army Air Force Veteran of WW II, John was Head Auditor and Payroll Supervisor for Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. in Parsippany where he worked for 37 years, retiring 30 years ago. A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, John was also a member of the St. Andrew 39'ers. Beloved husband for 62 years of the late Mary Elizabeth (Musgrave) who passed away in February 2011. Devoted father of Catherine Mitchell and her late husband Robert of Virginia, Karin Christiaens and her husband John of Clifton, Mary Ellen Bradshaw and her husband Robert of Texas. Dear brother of Ann Yates of Toms River. Loving grandfather of Steven, Donna, Michael, Brian and Karin. Cherished great grandfather of Alyssa. Funeral Wednesday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair.
