Upon retiring, he purchased a 90 acre farm in Pennsylvania where he built their dream home and lived with his wife of 71 years for the next 30 years.
To the very end, John maintained his sense of humor and was romantic and caring toward his beloved wife, Rosemarie. He was a loving and devoted father of Diane L. (Joseph) Graff; John A. Campanile, Jr. (companion Kathleen); Doreen (Kevin) Vernarec, and Christopher J. (Annie) Campanile, A loving grandfather of Christina (Dan) Kubarewicz, Melissa and Brian Graff, Nicole and Zachary Vernarec, and Phoenix Campanile.
