John Basalyga, 87, of Clifton, passed away on November 27, 2012. Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong resident. A Veteran of WW II, John was a Certified Public Accountant for 50 years, retiring in 1990. A parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton, John enjoyed playing golf at the North Jersey Country Club and was a member of the Rutgers Alumni Association. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Jackson), who passed away in 2008. Devoted father of Jennifer Bradle and her husband Kenneth of Wall, and John Brian of Boca Raton, FL. Loving grandfather of Patricia Ann "Tricia", Michael and Amanda. Dear brother of the late Peter and Olga. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
