John Barcewski's Obituary
John Barcewski, 95, of Clifton, passed away on March 22, 2017. Born in Passaic, he lived in Lodi, Wallington and Garfield before moving to Clifton 21 years ago.
A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, John was a Postal Worker in the Passaic Post Office for 36 years, retiring in 1980, and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. A US Army Veteran of WW II, John was a member of the American Legion Post, Passaic, the St. Andrew 39'ers, and the Deriter Club, Clifton.
Beloved husband for 66 years of Rose (Maneri). Devoted father of Carol Meier and her husband Joseph of Paramus, and Eileen Atry and her husband Thomas of West Paterson. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey, Gregory, Jodie and her husband Mike, Kasie and her husband Chris, Joseph and Kristina. Cherished great grandfather of Luke. Dear brother of Wanda Landi of Morris Plains, and the late Stella Jaskot, Peter and Victor Puzio, and Edward Barcewski.
Funeral Saturday 9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Friday 3-5 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN, 38105, www.StJude.org, in memory of John, would be greatly appreciated.
