Joette Dimeo, age 85, died Aug. 28, 2021. Born in Passaic, she lived her entire life in Clifton in her childhood home. She was known for her loving heart and generosity to her family and friends.

Joette graduated from Montclair State University with a degree in business. She was employed as a marketing manager for international flavors and fragrances for Givaudan for several decades before retiring at age 60. She continued to work part time for similar companies.

Joette loved to ski; she was a member of ski clubs in Northern N.J. and skied in Colorado and New England every winter until she was 80. She also is known for her love of cats and was "mother" to many over the past three decades. She spent much time at her beloved country house near the border of Pennsylvania and New York that was built by her father.

Joette is predeceased by her father Ernest Dimeo, mother Josephine (Juliano) Dimeo,  sister-in-law Geraldine Dimeo and brother-in-law Frank Leone.

Joette is survived by her loving family: sister Louise Leone (late Frank) and brother Lawrence Dimeo (Dorothy Anderson); nieces and nephews Barbara Bullis (Bruce), Ernest Dimeo (Randi Katz), Lawrence Dimeo Jr., and Jean Dimeo Edwards (Kevin); great nephews Christopher Bullis (Gretchen), Blake Bullis (Ashley), Michael Edwards, and Patrick Edwards; and great-great nieces Juliana and Colette. She is also survived by her life-long neighbor and friend Joyce DiBenedetto as well as other friends and family members.

Funeral Service Thursday 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
