Joan (Kaminsky) Stockinger, 81, of Clifton, passed away on November 4, 2015. Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton. A parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton, Joan was an Administrative Assistant for many years serving under Passaic County Registrar of Deeds, Frank W. Sylvester. A Sunday School Teacher for several years, Joan was a member and Past President of the Quentin Roosevelt American Legion Post #8, Ladies Auxiliary, Clifton. Known as "Grandma Cupcake", Joan's family was most important to her. A kind, sweet, gentle woman, she was a friend to all and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Beloved wife of the late Clifton City Councilman Richard "Dick" Stockinger who passed away in 1996. Devoted mother of Richard of Miami, Susan Stockinger and her wife Susan Crane of Union, and the late Scott who passed away in 2014. Loving grandmother of Ricky, Jackie, Chrissy, Adam, Emma and Ellie. Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
