Joan M. Robertazzi, loving and devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022.

For 30 years she worked as an elementary school teacher for the Paterson public schools, going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of her students. Known for her work ethic, she acquired her Master's degree while raising her 4 children. She was passionately involved in the Public Education Agency and continued to work for them after her retirement.

Joan is remembered for her compassion and kindness to anyone who needed help, was a volunteer advocate at Bergen Family Center assisting in the care of the elderly, and she loved animals, caring for many rescued dogs and cats.

Most of all she loved spending time with her family, and is survived by her children- James, Michael, Lori Anne, and Joseph, her grandchildren- Jarrett, Katie, Olivia, Quinton, Tim, and Veronica and Stephanie, her daughters-in-law Marisa, Jill, and Kathleen, son-in-law Eric, and great grandchildren Emmi, Ronan, Braytin, and Zachery and Alex. Finally, Joan was like a mom to so many of our friends and neighbors.

Memorial Gathering Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 8:30-9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Memorial Mass, 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Ave., Clifton.
