With great sorrow, the Rana family announces the passing of Jitendra "Jitu" Rana on March 6th, 2023 at the age of 63 years old, surrounded by his loving family.

Jitendra is survived by his devoted wife, Kalpana of 31 years, and two sons he was immensely proud of, Dip and Raj. He is predeceased by his father, Chunilal Rana, mother, Hasuben Rana, and eldest brother, Narendera. Jitu will be fondly remembered by his three brothers, Ranjit, Jagdish, Mukesh, one sister, Vinaben, and his many nieces, nephews and family members.

Jitendra was born in Valsad on October 12th, 1959, and grew up in Limdachok, Billimora. At 17 years old, he became a member of the Indian Air force. He later attended BKM Science College in Valsad, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science and worked in a chemical lab in Vapi, India post graduation. On June 13th, 1991, Jitu married his neighborhood sweetheart, Kalpana and he moved to New Jersey in 1991 in pursuit of the American dream. He was a selfless, simple and quiet family man, working hard to provide the life he dreamt of for his wife and children.

Jitu was a big foodie, avid cricket fan, Indian television serial fanatic, and travel enthusiast. Appreciative of the beauty the world had to offer, people from various walks of life, and foods from around the world, Jitu enjoyed exploring different countries and cities alongside his wife. Among his favorite places visited were Vienna, Switzerland, and Atlantic City.

Above all, he was a caring husband and doting father. He lifted others up silently, through his actions and never let anyone feel indebted to him. Jitendra will be sorely missed by his wife, sons, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives, and many friends.

The celebration of life for Jitendra Rana will be held at Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013) on March 8th, 2023 at 9:00 AM. Cremation ceremony to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery (255 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07014) on March 8th, 2023 at 11:30 AM.
