Jesus N. Morales, 81, of Montvale, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026.
Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Jesus came to the United States in 1994, carrying with him the hopes of building a new life. He first settled in West New York, later lived in Clifton, and eventually made his home in Montvale. A mechanical engineer , Jesus was a hardworking and devoted man who took pride in providing for and caring for the people he loved most.
Above all, Jesus was a family man. He was the beloved husband of Maria T. Ferrer, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
He was a loving and devoted father to Janet Morales and Sandra Pantello and to his son in law Timothy Pantello . He treasured his role as a grandfather to Gretchen, Daniel, Nicholas and Gabriella, and was especially blessed to become a great-grandfather to Perry Ritota, III. The love and happiness his family brought him were among his greatest joys.
Jesus will be remembered not only for the life he worked so hard to build, but for the love, strength, and kindness he gave to his family. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be held close in the hearts of those who loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his love will continue to live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.
He was the dear brother of Teresa Morales and the late Nieves, Eloina and Muña Morales.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, September 15, from 4 to 8 PM at Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A funeral service will begin Wednesday, September 16, at 8:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Mass at St. Paul RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
