Jerzy K. Ponikowski, 64, of Clifton passed away on May 1, 2011. Born in Poland, he came to the US in 1964 and lived in Bayonne and Wallington before moving to Clifton 27 years ago. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Jerzy was the President of Quality Industries in Clifton for over 30 years and was a member of the Wisla Soccer Club in Garfield. Beloved husband of the late Teresa (Zielinski) who died in 2000. Devoted father of Andrew and his wife Danielle of Barnegat, Mark and his wife Adrienne of Cedar Grove and Michael of Clifton. Dear brother of Chester of Alexandria, VA, and Zofia Dunajska of Poland. Loving grandfather of Isabella, Natalie, Ava, Gia, Nicolas and Alexander. Funeral Thursday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church. Interment, Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
