Eugenia "Jean" (Geron) Junice, 89, of Lavallette died on June 20th. She was a member of St. Padre Pio Catholic Church, Lavallette, NJ. Prior to living in Lavallette since 1985, she resided in Clifton. She was predeceased by her parents, Josephine and Elias Geron, her step-mother, Caroline, her brother Walter Geron, and her husband of 62 years, William Joseph Junice. She attended Tombrock College (Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate Conception) for two years and received her degree in Speech Pathology from William Patterson University at the age of 56. She taught at St. Nicholas Ukrainian School in Passaic and St. John Kanty School in Clifton. She was a Rosarian of the St. John Kanty Church, Clifton, a member of the Women's Auxiliary American Legion Post 351, Seaside Heights, and she initiated and organized "Beefsteak" Dinners for the mentally challenged of Navagh Center, Paterson Diocese for seven years. Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Saacke and her husband Paul of Chester, sons, William "Billy" Junice of Millington (Our House), Paul Junice and his wife Susan of Union, a sister Virginia Corney and her husband John of Lavallette. Survivors also include grandchildren, Suzanne Beaudoin and her husband David of Washington, NJ, Carolyn E. Saacke of NY, NY, Megan and Gregory Junice of Union. Two great grandchildren include Jace and Vivian Beaudoin. Funeral Wednesday 9AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting Tuesday 3-7 PM.
