Jane E.
Marini
March 7, 2023
Jane E. Marini, 80, of Clifton passed away peacefully on March 7, 2023 surrounded by family. Born in Passaic, she resided in Clifton for over 42 years. Jane was an extraordinary educator who dedicated her life to inspiring and nurturing the minds of the countless students she taught during her 43 years of teaching first grade. For the first 39 years of her teaching career, she taught in the Passaic Public School system. After retiring from public school teaching she dabbled in market research—which was perfect for her as she was such a personable and relatable individual. After that, she returned to education and taught for four more years at Yeshiva K'tana in Passaic until she retired once more. Jane was more than just a teacher. She was a mentor, a friend, and a confidant. Her enthusiasm and caring nature touched the lives of not only her students, but also their families and her colleagues. She made a lasting impact on the community she served, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations of learners.
Beyond her career as a teacher, Jane was an incredible mother, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late John Marini, who passed away in 1986. She raised her daughter Jessica, as a single mother and was an incredible role model for what a strong, independent, and brave woman should be. When her granddaughter Madeleine was born, Jane was over-the-moon excited and cherished each moment spent with Maddie.
Jane was the epitome of kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family and friends were evident in all that she did, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Jane is survived by her daughter Jessica Marini and her husband Sean Meany, and their daughter Madeleine. As well as her brother Daniel Miskowsky and his wife Catherine, her nephew Daniel Miskowsky Jr. his wife Corinne, and their son Kyle, and her nephew Matthew Miskowsky, his wife Francesca, and their son Maddox.
The world has lost an extraordinary person, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched. Jane will be remembered as an amazing mother, master educator, and the most generous, loving, caring, and giving person many of us ever had the privilege to know.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.StJude.org , in Jane's memory would be greatly appreciated.
