Jane Agnes (Koziel) Hirkaler, 99, of Woodland Park passed away on October 11, 2026. Born and raised in Passaic, Jane eventually moved with her husband to Fredon Township until 2011, when she came to live with her daughter in Woodland Park. She was a religious practicing Catholic and parishioner of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Jane was a good person devoted to her faith and family and cooked all the holiday meals for decades. She enjoyed crossword lottery tickets and occasional trips to the tristate area casinos. But above all, her passion was reading! Jane read over 5,000 books in her lifetime, mostly about travels through different countries and especially China.

Beloved wife of the late John Michael Hirkaler who passed in 2003. Devoted mother of Gerard M. Hirkaler and his wife Kim, John F. Hirkaler and his wife Marci, and Joanne M. Hirkaler. Cherished grandmother of Alyssa and Samantha Hirkaler. Dear sister of the late Walter, Frank, Edward and Fred Koziel.

Visiting Friday, Oct. 16, 9 – 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral to follow at 10:30 AM at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Michael’s Cemetery, South Hackensack.
