James Thomas Williams, 82, of Milford, PA, formerly of Clifton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving wife and son, on August 3, 2022.

Born in Passaic, NJ, to the late Harold and Margaret Williams, he lived in Clifton until 2002 when he retired to Milford. A parishioner of St. Patrick's RC Church, Milford, Jim was also a former parishioner of St. Paul RC Church, Clifton.

Jim had worked for the Passaic County Elks Cerebral Palsy Center and Sacred Heart School, both in Clifton. Jim also worked for Continental Can Co., Paterson and the Elmwood Park Board of Education, retiring in 2002, and was a member of NJEA and USWA.

Jim was an avid fisherman and a fisher of men, always befriending strangers who crossed his path. He was an animal lover, and enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, nature, antiques, playing cards, refinishing furniture, flea markets, and Pike County Senior social activities.  His authenticity and sense of humor endeared him to many.

Cherished husband of Rosalyn (Semeraro) Williams, loving father of James T., Jr.  of Newton, NJ. Dear brother of John of Spring Hill, FL, Thomas of Passaic, NJ,  Joan Scandale of Garfield, NJ, Mary Ellen Collucci and her husband Vito of Clifton, NJ, and Carol Corti and her husband John of Vernon, NJ.

Predeceased by beloved son, Edward Michael Williams; dear sisters Margaret Schmid and Alice Williams; brother Robert; nephews Arnold and Philip Simone and Vincent Pagano; niece Karen Simone.

Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Tuesday 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.

Jim had requested contributions to any no-kill animal shelter, or the Wounded Warrior Project, in his memory.
