James M. Ellmers, 51, of Clifton passed away January 13, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, James lived in Bloomfield, Ithaca, NY, and West Palm Beach, Fla and has been a resident of Clifton for several years.

A graduate of Bloomfield High School, James was a Water Technician for the Town of Glen Ridge for many years, and volunteered with Handicapped Children and Adults.

Beloved son of Elaine Ann (Mauro) Cuoco of Clifton and the late Charles Ellmers who died in 1984. Dear brother of Robert and his wife Judy of Newburgh, IN, Laurene Phillips and her husband Robert of Boulder, CO, and the late John who died in 1989. Loving uncle of Lauren, Valerie, Diana, Neva and Jack.

Funeral Thursday, 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield. www.shookfh.com
