James O. Dinnall, affectionately known as "Buster" or "Jimmy", 84, of Haledon, NJ, passed away on November 27, 2022. Born in Clarendon, Jamaica on June 11, 1938 to Samuel and Vashti (Boothe) Dinnall, James migrated to the United States in 1974 after having lived in England with his siblings for approximately 17 years. Prior to moving to Haledon in 2007, he was a long-time resident of Paterson, NJ, where he made a large number of friends. James worked for Acrison Inc., Moonachie for 20 years before retiring in 2004. He returned to Acrison in early 2005 to work as a part-time machinist.

Beloved husband and partner of 43 years to Catherine (Asphall) Dinnall. Devoted father of Diane Dinnall of Haledon, James Dinnall and his wife Janet of Dublin, CA, Carrel Bryan and her husband Leighton of Indian Trail, NC, Karen Douglas and her husband Michael of Paterson, Sandria Thomas of Haledon and Denver Thomas and his wife Margaret of Paterson. Cherished grandfather of 10. Loving brother of Emeline "May" Barrett, Estriana "Lena" McKenzie and Augustus "Manager" Dinnall all of England. Dear uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews throughout NJ, England, Canada and Jamaica.

Visitation Friday, December 16, 4 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday, December 17, 9 AM at the Trinity Pentecostal Church, 550 E 23rd St., Paterson. Interment, Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
