James A. Denby, 78, of Clifton on May 25, 2010. Born in Luzerne, Pa., he lived in Berwick and Hatboro, PA, before moving to Clifton in 1967.

A Navy Veteran during the Korean War, James attended Brown University and was the Owner of Waldorf Liquors in Passaic for 25 years, as well as a Real Estate Entrepreneur, retiring in 1992.

Beloved husband for 55 years of Hope (Bogard). Devoted father of Judy H. Amato and her husband Steven of Robbinsville, and James R. of Clifton. Loving grandfather of Alexandra and Amanda Amato. Dear brother of the late Elizabeth Collura and Richard.

Funeral Thursday 12:30 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Thursday 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
