Jakub Wisniewski, 36, of Wayne, passed away on March 23, 2024. Born in Ostrów Mazowiecka, Poland, he came to the US in 1992 and lived in Clifton and Hoboken before moving to Wayne in 2021.

Jakub worked his dream job in sports broadcasting for every major team and sporting event. He traveled all over the world doing what he loved. He lived for sports and for his family and friends. He loved reading, doing puzzles, listening to music, traveling the world with his wife and living each day to the fullest. He also never turned down a good meal - whether it be hibachi, steak or a good NJ Italian sandwich.

Born with Cystic Fibrosis, he overcame many obstacles in his life, and never let the disease define him. In June 2011, Jakub had a double lung transplant and was able to live his life without boundaries. Many people considered him their hero. He always had a smile on his face and a sense of humor and was the light in all of our lives. He achieved more in 36 years than most people do in a lifetime. He taught all of us to live our lives to the fullest, love unconditionally and never give up.

Beloved husband of Julia (Pinzler) Wisniewski. Devoted son of Danuta (Gieraltowska) Wisniewska of Clifton, and the late Slawomir Wisniewski who passed away in 2010. Dear son in law of Marian Pinzler of East Meadow, NY, and the late Harold Pinzler.

Visiting Monday, April 1, 2024, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Cremation will be private.
