Jacqueline (Porter) Pereksta, 84, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Clifton, passed away on July 5, 2024. Born in Passaic, she lived most of her life in Clifton and lived for a few years in St. Augustine, FL, and Toms River before moving to Oak Ridge in 2020. Jacqueline worked in the Human Resources department of Preakness Healthcare Center in North Haledon for many years before retiring in 1999.

A member of the Athenia Veterans Post Ladies Auxiliary, Clifton, Jackie enjoyed gardening, bowling, going to the casino and visiting the beach, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Edward Pereksta who passed away in 1994. Devoted mother of Michael Pereksta and his wife Donna, and John Pereksta and his wife Gayle. Cherished grandmother of Stefania, Edward, Jonathan and Thomas. Dear sister of George Porter and his wife Letty and the late John S. Porter. Loving aunt of Cheryl Porter and George Porter, Jr.

Visiting Tuesday 3-7PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A prayer service will be held at 6PM. Cremation will be private.
