Irene (Kukol) Szymanski, 91, of Lakewood passed away on September 28, 2011. Born in Passaic, she lived in Clifton for over 40 years before moving to Lakewood in 2009. A parishioner of Most Holy Name of Jesus Slovak National Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, Irene was a Pinch Pleater for Bartmann & Bixer in Clifton for 15 years, retiring in 1985. Beloved wife of the late Peter Bonk and the late Matthew Szymanski. Devoted mother of Ruth Nauta of Manchester. Dear sister of the late Joseph Falat. Funeral Saturday 9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10:30 AM at Most Holy Name of Jesus SNCC, Passaic. Entombment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
