Irene (Hanak) Schimpf, 85, of Clifton passed away on April 29, 2011. Born in Garfield, she lived in Totowa before moving to Clifton 57 years ago. A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Irene was a Secretary for Dow Chemical in Clifton for many years, retiring in 1991, and was a member of AARP. Beloved wife of the late John who died in 1977. Devoted mother of Barbara E. Frank and her husband Walter of Stanhope, Carol Amoruso and her husband Allan of Clifton, and Karen Iannaccone and her husband Domenic of Scotch Plains. Dear sister of the late Ernest and Joseph Hanak, and Elizabeth Domkofski. Loving grandmother of Erick, Barbara K., Allison, Kaitlyn, Sarah and John. Cherished great grandmother of Andrew. Loving companion of Al Queisser. Funeral Tuesday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
