Irene M. (Tersago) Kearney, 81, of Clifton, passed away on September 18, 2012. Born and raised on 59th St. in Manhattan, Irene was a graduate of Mabel Dean Bacon Vocational High School in NY where she studied Beauty Culture, and worked as a Beautician until moving to Clifton in 1959. Irene raised her three children and worked part time with NJ Bank in Passaic until they merged with Midlantic where she became the "Lottery Lady". Irene dealt with Scratch-Off Tickets and Store Owners until the NJ Lottery Commission took over this aspect of the Lottery. Later she became an Administrative Assistant with New and Old Accounts, retiring in the summer of 1992. Irene loved to watch Tennis with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal being her favorites along with the Williams Sisters. Irene considered herself a "Major Fan" of Frank Sinatra. Irene was active with the Delawanna Little League and helped out with the Girl's Softball, Food Concessions and Candy Drives. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, she was also involved with many of the Card Parties at St. Clare. Beloved wife for 59 years of the late Kenneth James Kearney who passed away August 15, 2012. Devoted mother of Mitchell and his wife Connie of Charlotte, NC, Sharon Bartholomew and her husband Jim of West Milford, and Glenn of Seattle, WA. Loving grandmother of Paula and Dempsey. Dear sister in law of Vic Antoniazzi and Mary Tersago. Also survived by Cousin Barbara, childhood friend Little Gus, longtime friends Lorraine P. and Lenore D., and best friend Dolores Tully.
