Irene J. (Toman-Gasparovic) Fedorchak, 91, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on February 9, 2014. Born in Pernek, Czechoslovakia, Irene came to the US in 1933 and settled in Clifton before moving to Jacksonville in 2005. Irene was a Full Charge Bookkeeper for Milton Brown, Clifton, for 10 years, retiring many years ago. A devout Catholic, Irene was a parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, and was a Certified Catechist. She was a Facilitator of the Bishops Synod on Loyal Concerns of Women in the Church, the Diocesan President of the National Council of Catholic Women, the Commissions National Representative to the UN, a Catholic Action Chairman and later a Family Life Chair for the NJ State Council of Columbiettes, a Representative to the White House Conference on Families, the Facilitator of the Workshop for NCCW and Columbiettes at Conventions, was an Author of Prayer Services, articles, stories, plays and religious, social and political speeches, and also was a Translator. Beloved wife of nearly 54 years of the late William G. Devoted mother of Jean M. Baj and her husband John of Jacksonville, FL, Vincent and his wife Veronica of Clifton, Francine Santacroce of Sarasota, FL, Nancy Stark and her husband William "Bill" of Clifton, and Victoria Mechanic and her husband Joseph of Sarasota, FL. Cherished grandmother of Christina Clifford and her husband Jameson, Christopher Baj and his wife Amy, Michele Santacroce, Daniel Stark and his fiancée Danielle Scagliozzi, and David and Kevin Stark. Loved great-grandmother of Blake Clifford and 2 more great-grandchildren are expected shortly. Dear sister of the late Fr. Eugene Gasparovic and the late Frank Gasparovic. Funeral Friday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
