Igor Kurpita, 52, of Fairfield passed away on March 4, 2024. Born in Lviv, Ukraine, he came to the US in 1997 and lived in New York, then later moved to Clifton in 2004 before settling in Fairfield in 2017. An active member of Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral, Clifton, he was an HVAC Mechanic for Carrier Corporation, New York, for many years.

Beloved husband for 21 years of Mariya Shchur. Devoted father of Olena and Katherine. Loving son of Mariya Grushka. Dear brother of Halyna Kurpita and her husband Edward Bilyavsky.

Visiting Friday 4-8PM (with Panakhyda service at 7PM) at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday 9:45AM at the funeral home and 11AM at Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Cathedral, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
