Herwing Morales Ortiz, 89, of Passaic, passed away on June 12, 2026. Born and raised in Lajas, Puerto Rico, Herwing has been a resident of Passaic for 72 years. A parishioner of Holy Trinity RC Church, Passaic, Herwing was a Draftsman Engineer for Givaudan in Clifton for many years, and later worked for the Passaic Valley Water Commission, retiring several years ago.

Beloved husband for 66 years of Margot (Velez) Morales. Devoted father of Marilyn Martinez and her husband Jorge, Herwing Morales, Harry Morales and his wife Miriam, Elvis Morales, and the late Edwin Morales who passed away in 2020. Loving grandfather of Jorge, Armando, Harry, Amanda, Veronica, Amanda, Lauren, Edwin, Christopher, Victoria, Branden, Katherine, and 14 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Rosa Morales.

Visiting Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Prayer Service will begin at 7PM. Funeral and Burial will be held in Lajas, Puerto Rico.
