Henryk Michalski, age 72 passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born in Grabowiec, Poland, he came to the US in 2002 and settled in East Rutherford, NJ.

He is survived by his most caring and loving wife, Maria Michalska of 47 years, his daughters Agnieszka Krzysztofik and Elzbieta Augustyn. He was a loving grandfather to Angelika, Natalia, Julia, Emily and Michael and a great-grandfather. Youngest of his four siblings, he is survived by Czeslawa, Janina and Eugieniusz. He was also an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and the happy-go-lucky Uncle Henryk to Susan Pelak.

In his younger years, he was passionate about agriculture and cooking his favorite recipes. He always enjoyed the outdoors and had an appreciation for gardening and taking care of his most cherished vegetable plants, pruning his roses and flowers. He also loved doing his crossword puzzles and spending time with his faithful cat, Oscar.

Visitation will be 4-6 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral service will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Saints Peter and Paul Polish National Catholic Church, Passaic. There is no visitation or services on Monday, January 31.

Burial will immediately follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
