Henry J. Gola, 92, of Clifton, passed away on June 2, 2015. Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong resident. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Henry was a member of the Holy Name Society, he was a Lector for many years, and a member of Regina-Mundi Knights of Columbus Council #3969, Clifton. An Army Veteran of WWII, Henry was a Charter Member of the Athenia Veterans Post, where he was Past Commander, served as Chairman of many committees and was on the Finance Council. Henry was a Systems Analyst for Bendix Corp., later Allied Signal in Teterboro where he began his career in 1949, retiring several years ago. Beloved husband for 65 years of Edna (Gluck). Dear brother of Ruth Szekely of Clifton, and the late Stanley, Walter, Joseph and Edward Gola, Mary Keskosky, Estelle Feczer, Rose Zabielski, and Florence Lisofski. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visiting Friday 3-7 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donation made to St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013, in memory of Henry, would be greatly appreciated.
