Obituary

Helena (Saltzman) Wolfer, 90, of Clifton passed away on March 18, 2025. Born in Passaic, she has been a resident of Passaic and Clifton for her entire life. Helena worked in Food Service for different companies and schools within the Clifton area during her career.

Helena was devoted to family and never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or holiday. She  would never arrive empty handed and attended all birthdays, graduations,  and weddings...sometimes with great difficulty.  She was a fabulous cook and you were always offered food and tended to when entering her home.  We can thank Helena for our close knit family values; she was the inspiration for our family bond and is irreplaceable.

Helena was the embodiment of resilience, family values, strong faith, and honest hard work. A lover of animals, and rescuer of cats. She was simply…one of a kind…

Beloved wife of the late Rudolph Wolfer II. Devoted mother of Rudolph III, Donna, Curt, Kamille, Christopher, Erik, and Paul. Cherished grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 9-11AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. A memorial mass will follow at 11:30AM at Holy Trinity RC Church, 226 Harrison Street, Passaic, with the burial of ashes to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.

If desired, donations made in Helena's memory to the Clifton Animal Shelter, www.CliftonAnimalShelter.com would be greatly appreciated.
