Helena (Tworek) Ligas, 86, of Clifton passed away on September 14, 2011. Born in Poland, she came to the US in 1964 and lived in Passaic before moving to Clifton 45 years ago. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Helena worked in the Housekeeping Dept. of Passaic General Hospital for 19 years, retiring several years ago. Beloved wife of the late Jan who passed away in 2008. Devoted mother of Jakub and his wife Viola of Wallington, Anthony and his wife Halina of Clifton, Jane Stepien and her husband Edward of Clifton and Jan and his wife Barbara of Montvale. Loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral Friday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
