Helen Day (Motacki) Vermeulen, 82, of Clifton, passed away on February 23, 2012. Born at home in Clifton, she was a lifelong resident. Helen was a waitress at The Dayton Restaurant in Botany Village for over 25 years, as well as Mario's Restaurant on Van Houten Ave., retiring in 1994. Beloved wife of the late Samuel who passed away in 2004. Devoted mother of Paul Day and his wife Rosemary of Parsippany, Barbara Day of Clifton, and Judith Pelaske and her husband Jeffrey of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Rachel and Victoria. Dear sister of Lottie O'Lear of Woodland Park, Henry Motacki of Belleville, and Frances "Toots" Salva of Clifton. Funeral Saturday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Cremation East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
