Helen (Wasilko) Torres, 87, of Marion, MA, formerly of Clifton on July 11, 2009. Born in Tamaqua, PA, Helen lived in the Bronx, NY and was a resident of Clifton for 44 years before moving to Mattapoisett, MA in 1998, later moving to Marion 3 years ago. Helen, a homemaker, was a former parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton and a member of the Sisterhood of St. Barbara. Beloved wife of the late Samuel E. who died in 1986. Devoted mother of Richard of Rochester, MA, and the late Mary Thomas who died in 1985. Dear sister of Yustina Hawk of Tamaqua, PA. Loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM with Panikhida at 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Friday 10 AM at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, 35 Orange Ave., Clifton, kindly meet at church. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
