Helen (Pogorelec) Halupka, 93, of Clifton, passed away on March 17, 2015. Born in Frydman, Poland, she came to the US in 1961, living in Clifton and Passaic for 30 years, returning to Clifton 18 years ago. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Helen was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society at both St. John Kanty RC Church, and Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton. Before retiring in 1985, Helen was a Machine Operator for Herman, Co. in Passaic for 20 years. Beloved wife of the late William who passed away in 1992. Devoted mother of John and his wife Krystyna of Clifton, Mary Wisniewski and her husband Juliusz of Cedar Grove, and the late Emil who passed away in 2008. Loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Maria Markowicz and her husband Jan, the late Anna Pjatek and her husband Michael, the late John Pogorelec and his wife Helen, and the late Albert Pogorelec and his wife Anna. Cherished aunt of several nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
