Hedwig M.(Sondej) Dandy, 96, of Clifton passed away on June 21, 2015. Born in Passaic, she lived there and in Clifton before moving to Toms River in 1981, returning to Clifton 7 years ago. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Hedwig was a Secretary for the Boy Scouts of America for several years. When Hedwig was in Toms River, she was a parishioner of St. Justin's RC Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and the Senior Club of Toms River. Beloved wife of the late John S. Dandy who passed away in 2007. Devoted mother of Dorothy Plishka of Clifton, Carol Dandy of Clifton, and James and his wife Patricia of Passaic. Loving grandmother of Mark Plishka and Anthony Conception. Cherished great grandmother of Sara and Steven Plishka and Jacob Conception. Funeral Thursday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Thursday morning 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home.
