Dr. Hassan El-Zind, 83, of Paterson, passed away on July 5, 2013. Born in Port Said, Egypt, he came to the US in 1982, settling in Paterson and was a parishioner of St. Antonious & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church, East Rutherford. Dr. El-Zind was an Ophthalmologist and Eye Surgeon in Manzala, Egypt. Here in the US, Dr. El-Zind was a Senior Forensic Chemist for the NJ State Police Lab for many years. Beloved husband for 58 years of Laila (Guirguis). Devoted father of Nabila Samira, Hany, Ehab, Adel and Wael. Loving grandfather of Nagwa, Diana, Eric, Nicole, Allison, Ben, Angela and Kevin. Dear brother of Kamel and Hind. Funeral Wednesday 11:30 AM at St. Antonious & St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church, 147 Park Ave., East Rutherford. Kindly meet at the church. Visiting Tuesday 7-9 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
