Harriet (Koehler) France-Varchula, 88, of Clifton, passed away on November 16, 2014. Born in Passaic, she lived there before moving to Clifton many years ago. Harriet was a Secretary for P. Faudler, Inc., in Clifton and Fairfield for 17 years, retiring in 1985.A member of the Athenia Veterans Post, Auxiliary, Harriet belonged to the Woman's Club of Clifton and the EMD of Clifton. Beloved wife of the late John France and Emil Varchula. Devoted mother of Janis Lopresti of Lincoln Park, Karin Gintella of Woodland Park, and the late John D. France. Dear step mother of Gail Varchula of Passaic. Cherished grandmother of Jackie and Robbie Lopresti, Michael J. and Christopher Gulich. Adored great grandmother of Patricia and Michael Gulich. Dear sister of Rita Tenhoeve of Michigan and the late Kenneth Koehler. Funeral Wednesday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to either the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice, in memory of Harriet, would be greatly appreciated.
