Gisela (Schmidt) Motyka, 77, of Clifton, passed away on May 31, 2013. Born in 1935 in Berlin, Germany, she came to the US in 1956 and lived in Paterson before moving to Clifton many years ago. A member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clifton, Gisela, a homemaker, was an accomplished seamstress,excellent cook and worked in a number of capacities, including catering, at the Mountainside Inn in Clifton. Gisela enjoyed movies, theater, concerts, dancing, gardening and travel, and was devoted to her cats. Gisela also did volunteered work at Don Bosco Tech while her son Steven attended school there. Beloved wife of the late Eugene "Gene" who passed away on April 25, 2013. Devoted mother of Susanne and Linda, and the late Steven who passed away in 2008. Loving grandmother of Rachel. Funeral Tuesday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation Private. Visiting Monday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
