Gertrude C. (Guarente) Hancox, of Clifton, passed away on June 11, 2017 , s urrounded by her loving family . B orn in Hoboken , she moved to Clifton in 1956.

A parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Gertrude worked as a Customer Service Manager at Shulton for 35 y ea rs and then as a Teller for Chase Bank for 17 years before retiring.

Wife of the late Roger who died in 2010. Beloved mother of Roger, Richard and his wife Christine, Keri, Greg and his wife Annette, and William. Grandmother of Sara, Justin, Jacqueline and Allison. Great grandmother of Desmond. Sister of Mena Cannarozzi, Lucille Jarman and the late Gabriel Guarente. She is also survived by many Nieces and nephews. "A Life of Love for 3 Generations"

Funeral Friday at 9 A M at the Shook Funeral Home , 639 Van Houten Ave ., Clifton and 10 AM St. Andrew's Church , Clifton . Cremation East Ridgelawn Cemetery , Clifton. Visitation Thursday 4 -8 PM at the funeral home.
