George Macyk, 83, of Belleville, passed away on March 16, 2014. Born in Luck, Poland, he came to the US in 1952 and lived in Brooklyn before moving to Belleville in 1988. A parishioner of Ukrainian Orthodox Holy Ascension Church, Clifton, George was a Purchasing Agent for GAF Corp., in New York City for many years before retiring several years ago. Beloved husband for 26 years of Alexandra (Uzuno). Devoted father of Walter and his wife Irene of East Islip and the late Mark. Loving grandfather of Michelle, Walter and Mark. Dear brother of Oxana Babiuk of South Bound Brook. Also survived by nieces Roxolana and Tamara, who were a great help to Uncle George. Funeral Thursday 11 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton . Interment, BGWCD NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown. Visiting Thursday 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
