Genevieve "Jean" P. (Serafin) Tarnowski, 90, of Clifton, passed away on July 30, 2015. Born in Passaic, she lived in Garfield before moving to Clifton in 1958. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Jean was a member of the Rosary Society at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic, and was a member of the Garfield Firehouse #4, Ladies Auxiliary. Beloved wife for 68 years of Walter. Devoted mother of Eugene and his wife Barbara of Budd Lake, Arlene Tarnowski of Clifton, and Arthur and his wife JoAnn of Kendall Park. Loving grandmother of 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by a brother and 3 sisters. Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
