Genevieve K. (Kvasnik) Galka, 89, of Wallington, on February 14, 2010. Born in Wallington, she was a lifelong resident.

A Navy Veteran, Genevieve served with the WAVES, Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services, during WW II. An active member of the Wallington Presbyterian Church, Genevieve served as an Elder and was a member of the Fund Group and the Ladies Guild.

Genevieve was a member of the Wallington Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Wallington Senior Citizens Club, AARP, Deborah, and was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital for many years. She was a Bookkeeper for Foods Plus in Moonachie for several years, before retiring.

Beloved wife of the late Anthony who died in 1986. Devoted mother of Tonette Benz and her husband Robert, Anthony and his wife Diane, and Andrew and his wife Linda, all of Wallington. Loving grandmother of Danielle.

Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at the Wallington Presbyterian Church. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Wednesday 2-7 PM.
