Gene Lester Kurylo, 71, of Clifton passed away on December 16, 2025. Born in Passaic, he was a resident of Clifton all of his life. Gene earned his undergraduate degree from NYU and his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. He worked as an electrical engineer for 45 years and retired from Honeywell, Morris Plains in 2019. A devoted parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Gene enjoyed reading, watching sci-fi movies, attending Shakespeare plays and spending time with his niece and nephew. He loved nature, going on hikes and collecting rocks.

Devoted son of the late Eugene Kurylo and Veronica (Olko). Loving brother of Claude Kurylo and his wife Suzanne, Joan Kurylo and Kim Freshman and her husband Richard. Cherished uncle of Justin and Juliann.

Funeral Saturday, December 20, 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Please meet directly at the church. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
