Gene Kepisty, 61, of Montclair, passed away on April 9, 2012. Born in Wegorzewo, Poland, he came to the US in 1964 and lived in Jersey City and Paterson before moving to Montclair 7 years ago. A parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic, Gene was the Manager of the Chanler Apartments in Montclair for the past 7 years, and was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Beloved father of Monika Thompson and her husband Mark of North Caldwell, and Michelle Kepisty of Denver, CO. Loving grandfather of Shawn. Dear brother of Teresa Wojciechowski and Krystyna Redmond, both of Penn Lake, PA. Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Joseph's RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
