Gary James Rockett, age 73, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at home. Born on July 17th, 1950 to James and Helen Rockett in Passaic, Gary was a graduate of William Paterson University in Wayne.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Deanna Todd Rockett in 1984, and is survived by his former wife, Gail Marie Brown. Gary worked first as a contractor and builder in the West Milford area, and then for the State of New Jersey as a code enforcement officer for many years. He loved working with cars and recently took up painting.

Gary is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Marge Rockett of Wayne, and his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Lareau of Texas, as well as his niece Christina Kozlowski, nephew Bradley Lareau and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Family, friends, coworkers, and others that Gary's life has touched are welcome to attend a graveside memorial service on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, 10:45 AM at St Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Rd., South Hackensack, followed by a repast where we can celebrate his life.
