Gaetano "Tommy" A. Ficarra, 60, of Woodland Park, passed away on January 9, 2019. Born in Cerami, Sicily, Italy, Tommy came to the US as a child and lived in Montclair before settling in Woodland Park 32 years ago. Tommy worked as a Warehouse Manager for A&E Stores, Inc. in Teterboro for many years. A member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Fraternity in Sicily, and St. Sebastian Society in Montclair, Tommy fought a courageous battle with cancer, finding strength in his faith and his love of the Dallas Cowboys and Italian Soccer.

Beloved husband of Rosemary (Russo) Ficarra for 32 years. Devoted father of Anthony Ficarra of Woodland Park, Andrea Magliano and her husband Gregory of Berkeley Heights, and Thomas Ficarra of Woodland Park. Adored son of Rosina (Proto) Ficarra and the late Eduardo Ficarra. Dear brother of Giovanna Ficarra of Glen Ridge, Luigi Ficarra of West Orange, and Angela Socio and her husband Tony of Kendall Park. Dear brother-in-law of Gail Paone and her husband Rich. Cherished uncle of Jeff Paone, Edward Ficarra, Gabriella Socio, Raffaella Socio, and Anthony Socio. Loving son-in-law of Eileen Russo and the late Alfred Russo. Lifelong best friend of Michael Locascio.

Funeral Saturday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Montclair. Cremation, Rosedale Cemetery, Orange. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM  at the funeral home.
