Frederick Hryszko, 75, of Clifton passed away on May 7, 2022. Born in Jersey City, Fred was raised in Kearny and moved to Clifton in 1983. A US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War, Fred was stationed in Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Fred graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He was a Firefighter with the Kearny Fire Department for 13 years before retiring and previously had worked as an ironworker and in construction for many years.

Beloved husband for nearly 43 years of Isabella (McDonald). Devoted father of Cindy Charlton and her husband Ralph of Swedesboro. Cherished grandfather of Cheyenne, Arabella, Savannah and RJ. Dear brother of Eddie Hrysko and his wife Lorraine of Lyndhurst and Bob Hryszko and his wife Barbara of Barnegat. Loving uncle of many nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.

Fred was a tough, hard-working, resilient man, who loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors. He enjoyed taking things apart just to see how they worked. There was nothing he couldn't design and build. No matter what life threw his way, he would always figure out a solution to overcome each obstacle.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass at 10AM on Saturday May 14, 2022 at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, 400 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Clifton. Innichement will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair.
