Fred Theodore Tyma, 80, of Clifton on July 10, 2010. Born in Keisterville, PA, Fred lived in Passaic before moving to Clifton 49 years ago.
A parishioner of St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton, Fred was a Machinist at Athenia Steel in Clifton for 25 years until he was injured in a work related accident in 1982. Fred was an Army Veteran during the Korean War and served from April of 1951 until March of 1953. Fred enjoyed watching NASCAR Races and sitting on his porch listening to County Western Music.
Beloved husband for 48 years of Barbara (Humer). Devoted father of Lisa and Joseph of Clifton. One of seven children, Fred was the dear brother of Cathern Mulick of Clifton, and the late Jennie Hodorvych, Nellie Carlucci, Ted, Albert and Walter Tyma.
Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Paul's RC Church, Clifton. Cremation, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. www.shookfh.com
