Federico "Fred" Palleschi, 88, of Passaic passed away on August 11, 2014. Born in Ceprano, Italy, Fred came to the US in 1939 and first settled in the Bronx before moving to Passaic. A US Army Veteran of WWII, Fred was a Stone Setter for Antoine Jewelers in New York City for 20 years, retiring in 1985. Fred and his wife Condita were the owners of Leschi Jewelry Store on Main Avenue in Passaic for over 20 years. He was a member of the VFW Post #504 of Passaic and the American Legion of Clifton. Beloved husband of 62 years of Condita (Iannucci). Devoted father of Benita "Bede" Klein and her husband Robert of Clifton, Theresa Jane Muti and her partner Sue Goll of Westwood, and Francine Fadil and her husband Rachaad "Shed" of Clifton. Cherished grandfather of Robyn Rzepecki and her husband Justin, Jacquelyne Klein, Alison Fasouletos and her husband Michael, Kevin Klein, Richard Fadil and his wife Sandra, Paul Muti, Anthony Fadil and his wife Ariane, and Brian Klein. Adored great-grandfather of Alex, Jayden, Alyssa, Alivia, Lacey, Logan, Lia and Austin. Dear brother of Filomena "Ida" Martini of Sterling Heights, MI. Funeral Saturday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home. No services will be held on Friday 8/15 due to the Holy Day of Obligation (The Assumption).
