Obituary

Fred DeCarli, 84, of Clifton on January 1, 2010. Born in Newark, Fred lived in Lodi and has been a resident of Clifton most of his life. An Army Veteran of WW II, Fred was a Fork Lift Operator for Western Publishing in Wayne for 20 years and later a Crossing Guard for the Clifton Police Department at St. Paul's School for many years, before retiring. A member of Club Evergreen in Clifton, the American Legion in Staten Island, and was an avid NY Yankees Fan. Beloved husband for 62 years of Mary (Ternavasio). Devoted father of Patricia DeCarli-Reagan of Tobyhanna, PA, and Beverly Meyers and her husband Stephen of Clifton. Dear brother of Norma Henneman and Rose Perrone, both of Clifton, and the late Marie Kooman, Lillian Moore and Ann Winnick. Loving grandfather of Amy Mullen and her husband Don, Lauren Stawartz and her husband Keith, and Marc DeCarli and his fiancee Lanette. Cherished great grandfather of Casey Mullen. Funeral Service Sunday Evening 8:30 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Cremation will be private. www.shookfh.com
